📋 About This Mod

Offers two different buffs to Giant Killer feature for Hunter Ranger. One interrupts multiattack of Large creatures, the other removes the size category limitation.

What is this?

Ranger's "Giant Killer" feature is a bit trash in this game. Not only does it only work on Large or bigger creatures (like in D&D), making it very limited in where it's useful, you also have to wait for the monster's Multiattack to finish before you can retaliate. And if any of those hits happen to push you away, you're out of luck. That's assuming you even survive the onslaught.

With this mod, you can make the feature actually viable. If you are able to attack after any attack a Large or bigger monster finishes its first attack, you can throw out an attack, which apparently interrupts the rest of the multiattack (tested on the Owlbear). You remain a Giant Killer

Alternatively, you can also choose to have the feature less powerful, but more generally useful. By removing the size limitation, you can retaliate to any creature's melee attack within range, but you don't get to interrupt multiattacks. Not so much a Giant killer, but a useful feature nonetheless. I mean it's not like "Colossus Slayer" only works on colossal enemies, and two creatures is hardly a horde

Might provide a version that does both if people want it, (and after some playtesting), but gut feeling says its too strong. Depends on the sort of enemies Larian put in the game.

Doesn't change any of the descriptions in game for the feature (at least not yet).
