📋 About This Mod
Race CC Universal Automatic Patcher (UAP) automatically patches character creation entries for custom races, making them compatible with modded races right out of the box - no individual race compatibility patches needed from authors anymore.
It works for Heads, Hair, Horns, Beards and Tails.
It can also cross-patch compatible assets between races, making more CC options available overall.
Simply add it to your load order and forget.
Why you need it?
Without UAP, if you're using custom races, you need author-provided compatibility patches so character creation content is registered for those races, even if they're inherently compatible.
For mod authors: defining overrides:
UAP works automatically in most cases, but authors can provide explicit override data when a race or root template needs special handling.
Author overrides are intended for cases where automatic matching is not enough, such as:
-
[]A race entry should be excluded from automatic patching; example: Spacelings should not receive regular heads, since they have special body textures and shaders.[/]
[]A race should be allowed as a source but not as a target, or the opposite.[/]
[]Your mod uses unusual skeleton, race, or body setup that needs manual guidance. A root template should use a specific skeleton match because automatic skeleton detection is not enough.[/]
Create a JSON file like this:
Mods/YourModFolder/RaceCCUAP_Overrides.json
This is the same folder that contains your mod's meta.lsx.
UAP automatically looks for this file in mods that add custom races. If the file exists, UAP loads it and merges it with its built-in override.
Race slot override example
"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000": {
"CanBeSource": false,
"CanBeTarget": false
"CanBeTarget": false
Replace 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 with your race UUID.
For example, this disables automatic head patching both from and to the race, while also preventing horns from being patched onto that race.
Use the slot names UAP supports, such as: Head, Hair, Horns, Beard, Tail.
Root template skeleton override example
"RootTemplates": {
"11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111111": {
"MatchSkeleton": "22222222-2222-2222-2222-222222222222"
Use this only when a root template needs to be matched against a specific skeleton.
Race CC Universal Automatic Patcher (UAP) automatically makes custom races compatible with compatible Heads, Hair, Horns, Beard, and Tail mods, eliminating the need for separate compatibility patches. With 314 endorsements and 24,832 downloads, it's a popular utility for modders seeking seamless integration.
