📋 About This Mod
Only druids may receive this staff as a quest reward for "Investigate Kagha" if they decide fully in Sylvanus' sense. It is supposed to be a weapon infused with the strenght of a god, like the Blood of Lathander mace. I was quite disappointed when i saw its stats. The quest has so much potential, but it is wasted on this inferior reward.
This mod is really nothing special. It improves the Pale Oak staff so that it can be used in the long term. I've uploaded the stats of the staff as sreenshots. They should be self-explanatory. Additionally Faithwarden's Stride now makes you immune to Overgrowth and Ensnaring Strike, wich the vanilla effect strangely did not. Faithwarden's Strike will ensnare your Targets on hit if they fail a DC 20 Strengh Save. Also, it features a more powerful variant of the shillelagh cantrip and Druidic Weapon, which grants the echantment bonus of the weapon even while using your druidic Wild Shape ability.
Due to high demand, I added a less powerful version. Take a look at the screenshot. Considering what other items you can get in the first act of the game, these stats should be justified. If even this version is still too powerful for you, then check out this mod. Altered Pale Oak
Improves the base game Pale Oak Staff to keep it viable in the late game. A simple balance tweak for players who like the staff's aesthetic but find it underpowered. 197 endorsements and 6,366 downloads show steady community interest.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 197 endorsements and over 6,300 downloads.
- Fills a real gap—makes a cool-looking weapon actually viable late game.
- Simple, focused change that doesn't bloat your load order.
⚠️ Cons
- No detailed patch notes—you won't know exact stat changes until you try it.
- Last updated in September 2023—might be outdated if the game has received balance patches since.
- Only affects one weapon, so if you don't use staves, this mod is pointless.
For players who love the Pale Oak Staff's design but hate that it falls off in damage. If you're a magic user looking for a small quality-of-life buff, this is for you. Skip if you never touch staves or prefer overhaul mods that change multiple weapons.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the base game Pale Oak Staff—this mod modifies the existing weapon, not a new one.
- If you're using other weapon overhaul mods, load this one after them to ensure its changes take priority.
- Check the mod's comments section for any reported conflicts with other equipment mods.
