It's a guide on how to make custom normal maps / body textures with a focus on hand drawing your own scars :D
As I was working on custom body textures, I had some issues with trying to find proper tutorials or guides on the normal map so I figured I’d explain how I ended up doing things. It accidentally became an extremely detailed 21 page document guide lmao. NOTE: There are many different ways to do this, and this is probably one of the more complex/time consuming ones but hey, it works haha.
This guide explains my entire process and I tried to make it as beginner friendly as possible!! Specifically it focuses on how to draw custom scars but it can be used for other changes to the normal maps as well! All programs used are free or can be interchanged with free alternatives!

ps. I am by no means an expert, nor do I really know what I'm doing most of the time. This guide is just one of the ways to do it and there are a lot of less time consuming ways out there, I'm sure lol. Still, I hope people may find it useful, even if just as a reference point on stuff :D
