Painterly Scenery - Reshade Preset

Painterly/impressionist style reshade preset, meant to simulate visible brushstrokes for a painting-like aesthetic to complement the TTRPG styling of the game.  Once I'm satisfied with the main effect and have time I might add some atmospheric variants (fantasy, dark, etc).

Great for screenshots. Now also fairly usable for actual gameplay with Reshade UI Masker (see below)!

Recommended:

! ! ! Reshade UI Masker ! ! ! Requires some setup but this will correct any UI issues, if you do want to try this for actual gameplay!

Alternatively, Aether's Immersive UI to hide the UI while using this preset. This won't make the UI easier to read when you DO need it, but it should make it easier to appreciate the scenery without the smudged UI in the way.

Some jankiness is probably unavoidable. In some places the effect looks more old-school graphics/pixelated than painterly. I'm not aware of any way to make all the necessary settings adaptive based on distance, so you're currently stuck with a uniform size of 'brush stroke' for both distant objects/scenery and close-ups, which limits the adjustments you can make without one or the other looking too blurry or wonky.

You might need to adjust Tonemap based on your gamma etc. If you'd like to play around with the painterliness, under Oilify, try adjusting Scale/Iterations/Size. I've included a few examples of the same screenshot with different 'scale' Oilify settings to illustrate. Screenshots taken mostly at max graphics settings but it's very forgiving of lower texture/model detail.

Install by dropping the ini file into whatever folder your other Reshade presets are in.
