📋 About This Mod

NOT A MODA self-contained lua script to help modders pump out item mods with 'evolution' features

Requirements:

-Windows OS (if you use any other OS, convert the script in run_PIG.bat into your OS language)

- An unpacked mod, containing

+An xml file in Localization\English with valid handles, converted from the .loca file

+ _merged.lsx in Public\\RootTemplates, converted from _merged.lsf

+ Any txt file starting with "Progression_" in Public\\Stats\Generated\Data, these should contain the items meant to evolve in sequential order, so item A-> B-> C

What this does:

Upon given enough data to work with, and the modder added enough information on the condition(s) for the item to 'evolve', the mod would create: (if there already exist such file, it will OVERRIDE them, so back them up if you have them)

+A Config.json in Mods\\ScriptExtender

+BootstrapServer.lua and BootstrapClient.lua in Mods\\ScriptExtender\Lua

+ .lua in Mods\\ScriptExtender\Lua\Server

The mod will assume the folder's name given to it as the mod's name, minus any space, so 'Advanded Weaponry' becomes 'AdvancedWeaponry' as the .lua file name and its containing folder

Once you did a full pass, an Output.json will be created at the tool location, you can use/modify it so you don't have to manually type down everything next time

This does NOT help you with making modded items, since they have to be there for it to work. You just don't have to spend the effort and time to learn implementing those conditions

1. 0 only has 8 conditions so far, expect more as I receive feedback(if there's any) and update the tool

Example: I have a mod 'Better Everburn Blades' supposedly have better versions of the Everburn blade, i copy pasted the blade's data into Progression_1.txt, then populate it further with 3 versions of it (Everburn_A Everburn_B Everburn_C)

I open run_PIG.bat, a cmd window opens up, asking for the directory of my mod

I:/Better Everburn Blades

It then ask if a json file has been created, since this is the first time

It then ask for the condition to evolve from the base Everburn blade (1st entry) to Everburn_A (2nd entry)

killcount 25 humanoid optional 50 any

This means i need to, while having the Everburn blade equipped, kill 25 humanoid enemies, or 50 enemies of any type to get Everburn_A

It then ask for condition to evolve from Everburn_A to Everburn_B

dmgdealtcount 666 Fire any any optional 1000 any beast any

This means i need to deal 666 fire damage against any foe, or 1000 damage of any type against beasts only

It then ask for condition to evolve from Everburn_B to Everburn_C

statusappliedcount 20 BURNING

*This means inflicting burning status 20 times

It then ask if soul-bound condition should be added, which basically rese
