ImpUI_P8_Fork is a fork of ImpUI (ImprovedUI) intended exclusively for the BG3 patch 8. Authorized by Djmr and open to contributions.

• []Restores background icons for modded backgrounds in CC menu[/]

  []Restore some selectors in CC menu[/]

  []Restore race proficiency selector at respec (for example: Human Versatility)[/]

  []Built-in base game resources icons (just in case)[/]

  []Should automatically fill the base ImpUI dependency when it's needed by other mods[/]

  []Reduced dependencies on base game packages after patch 8 (GustavX, PhotoMode, etc..)[/]

  Disclaimers

  The contributors to this mod don't owe you anything; they do this mostly in their spare time, and they're tearing their hair out trying to find every possible solution to your problems. Please be kind to them.

  For this mod: you should only use the LaughingLeader's BG3ModManager

  Do not use Vortex or the "In Game" mod manager

  It should not be a problem if you download mods from Nexus (this mod included).

  Just to be sure, read the entire description page carefully

  For modders and players:

  • []Do not use this mod at the same time as any other version of ImpUI, you must use only one version at the same time[/]

    []ImpUI should be safe to update mid playthrough[/]

    []Conflicts between mods exist sometimes[/]

    []This mod should not be set as a strict dependency, the dependency should not be hard-coded in the meta file[/]

    []Also, if a mod have a strict dependency on load to "ImpUI (ImprovedUI)" mod, the responsability is to the mod author to delete this strict dependency, the dependency should not be hard-coded in the meta file[/]

    []Also, if a mod have a strict dependency on load to the old "ImprovedUI Assets" package, the responsability is to the mod author to delete this strict dependency, the dependency should not be hard-coded in the meta file. Additionaly, "ImprovedUI Assets" is fully deprecated since patch 7[/]

    In general, all these steps can also be applied if a future patch or hotfix comes out; these are reflexes to have:

    []Don't use multiple mod managers to manage your mods, use only LaughingLeader's BG3ModManager and stick with it much as possible[/]

    []Do not skip any updates of LaughingLeader's BG3ModManager or you risk having broken load orders and broken
