Improved Scroll Tooltips

Adds one line per party wizard to every spell scroll tooltip:

• []can learn - the wizard can scribe this spell now[/]

  []already knows - the spell is already in their spellbook[/]

  []level too low - a wizard spell, but the wizard cannot scribe it yet[/]

  Useful in shops: the tooltip shows which scrolls you still need before buying.

  Nothing is written to your save. You can add or remove the mod any time, on any playthrough.

  How it works

  The lines follow the game's own wizard rules: wizards only, spell level checked against their spell slots, multiclass wizards count. Scrolls a wizard cannot learn at all (class-locked or special scrolls) show nothing extra.

  The lines update automatically after scribing, level-ups, and party changes.

  Requirements

  Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender. Nothing else.

  Installation

  • []Install the Script Extender if you don't have it yet.[/]

    []Install the downloaded .zip with a mod manager such as BG3 Mod Manager (or Vortex), or unzip it and drop ImprovedScrollTooltips.pak into %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods.[/]

    []Enable the mod in your load order. Load order position does not matter.[/]

    Compatibility

    The mod is script-only and replaces no UI files, so it works together with tooltip and UI mods like Better Tooltips and ImpUI. The status lines appear in whatever tooltip style you use.

    All 15 game languages are supported. The translations are AI-made, and I only know a couple of these languages myself. If something reads wrong in your language, let me know and I will fix it.

    Multiplayer

    Untested in multiplayer for now. I hope it works, but let me know if it doesn't :)
