Motivation

Accidentally aggroing a neutral NPCs is infuriatingly annoying. Your choice is between a full on genocide or playing tag for ten minutes. And then when you immediately return back, all is forgiven. Its entirely pointless as there are no lasting consequences, it just wastes your time.

Description

This mod grants each party member a new spell with which you can request to surrender to opponents with the "Temporarily Hostile" status. To end the fight, you will have to pay a bribe to one of your opponents.

The bribe is set according to your level and you have the option to pay it immediately or try to negotiate it down. You can try to cut the bribe amount in half using your persuasion skill. Passing increasingly more difficult DCs each time, you can get the bribe down to 25% of its initial value. Failing a DC will increase the bribe by 50% and end negotiations.

After failing once or succeeding twice, you are asked to pay the final bribe amount. If you refuse, the combat continues and if you later request to surrender, the final bribe will be remembered. If you decide to accept, the bribe will be transferred to a random opponent and the combat will end. The opponent who accepted your bribe will be marked until long rest.

Note that success cuts the bribe in half, but failure does not double it.

Example: Bribe starts at 400g, you can cut it to 200g by succeeding in negotiation once. If you choose to negotiate again, but fail, you bring the bribe to its final value of 300g.
