📋 About This Mod

Hunted - Dynamic Ambushes & Revenge System

Hunted turns hostile territory into something that pushes back.

Instead of relying on static encounter placements, Hunted adds a retaliation layer to Baldur's Gate 3 that reacts to what your party is actually doing. As you travel, rest, and fight in dangerous areas, pressure builds. Repeatedly killing the same kinds of enemies builds creature-type reputation pressure. Over time, that retaliation can escalate from simple hunting parties to much harsher revenge, including champion responses when a creature type becomes truly vengeful.

This is not just a random spawn mod. Ambushes react to runtime context: region, party size, party level, creature type, and your current pressure state all feed into the response. The goal is to make hostile areas feel less static, make travel and rest feel less safe, and make your actions feel like they have consequences.

BG3MCM support is built in and required. You can keep it simple with presets or go deeper with advanced controls for intensity, rewards, cooldowns, loot behavior, surprise, compatibility settings, and more.

How Revenge Works

Hunted tracks pressure by creature type. If you keep killing the same kinds of enemies, that type can move from WARY to HOSTILE to VENGEFUL. At lower pressure, you may get ordinary hunting parties. At higher pressure, ambushes become harsher and a vengeful creature type can send a Champion after you.

What Is A Champion?

A Champion is a stronger revenge encounter for a creature type that has become truly vengeful. It is not just a normal ambusher with a new name: champions use curated templates, level gates, stronger scaling packages, and champion-only handling. On harder presets or larger parties, a champion can also arrive with a small retinue of ordinary support enemies.

Example: if your actions build enough Construct pressure, a Construct champion can eventually answer that pressure. If you keep cutting through undead, beast
