Half-Orcs Use Strong Body ( bt3 bt4 half orc )

What is this?

This mod replaces the Half-Orc body meshes, along with changing their equipment race to use the strong body type. (The BT3+4 used by humans, elves, drow + half-elves). Essentially it is a Half-Orc version of Obscen1ty's 'Gith humanlike body' mod.

The new mesh is identical to the strong body except having a different neck seam so it'll fit the half-orc necks.

It also has a new material and VT texture for the BT2 half-orcs, unfortunately this was a necessary evil as the chest topology is sufficiently different that the texture can't be reused.

I also made a variant of the file that swaps their animation to the strong animation set so they will stand up straight.

This mod shouldn't affect Half-Orc Guardians or NPCs, let me know if it does.

Why even make this

The Half-Orc race has its own slightly different bodies and equipment race to the strong bodies. This equipment race is set up to default back to strong when no mesh is provided for them. This is fine if your character favours totally covering clothing, but it can mean tight-fitting modded clothes created for strong body type don't fit well on them.

Basically, if you didn't already think that you wanted this mod, you don't need this mod ;)

  Known Issues

  • []Anything with a dummy body part will display with the wrong texture on it, which may be quite noticable depending on where the seam is placed. If the dummy body part is a torso chunk then there'll definitely be a neck seam.[/]

  Compatibility with other mods

  • []Won't work out of the box with mods that add new private parts to half-orcs. Expect a gap between that mesh and the body from this mod.  Would need a patch from the other mod author to work correctly.[/]

    []I have no idea if this is compatible with Unique Tav/KAVT/Kaztra or not. Probably not. BT1 will be compatible with STav though, BT2 won't be.[/]

  How to Install

  Recommended that you install with BG3 Mod Manager. A guide to BG3MM installation of mods can be found here.

  The material for the bt2 half-orc uses Script Extender to pak its VTs, so make sure you are on the latest version of SE and have purged your load order of unclean VTs.

  The mod is theoretically uninstallable any time, as it only overwrites and doesn't add anything new. (Still, uninstalling mods mid-playthrough is usually not a great idea.)
