Free Action Dual Wielding

  While there are already several in-depth and super cool two-weapon fighting mods, I found myself drawn to the idea of a simple enhancement inspired by the Unearthed Arcana rework of Two-Weapon Fighting.

  In this mod, the Dual Wielder feat and Two Weapon Fighting Style feature retain their old effects, but have been altered to change your off-hand attack into a "free action" rather than a bonus action. Each feature's other default effects remain intact (adding STR/DEX to attacks, +1 to armor, etc). In-game, you'll see your off-hand attack say that it consumes an "Off-Hand Action" resource, rather than a bonus action. This works with melee weapons, ranged weapons and now also thrown weapons.

  In addition, Rogues with the Fast Hands feature will still benefit from this new system and will be able to an additional off-hand attack per turn for the cost of a bonus action.

  As I made this one to satisfy my personal playthrough preferences, I'm not expecting to fulfill any requests aside from bug fixing.

  Highly recommend folks install Feats Extra if you'd like access to Fighting Initiate, which lets you gain Two Weapon Fighting Style on classes that don't normally get it.

  Known Issues

  • []Off-Hand attack actions (primarily Fast-Hand variants, I believe) may appear greyed out sometimes when they are actually usable.

  • Off-hand throw attacks will show no throwable weapon available if you have not selected your melee weapon set and are currently on your ranged weapon set. Just toggle to your melee weapon set and then re-click on the off-hand throw action and it'll work.

    Variants

    Two older variants of this mod are still available to download as optional files, allowing you to apply changes to either Dual Wielder or Two Weapon Fighting Style. They lack the newer features, such as off-hand throws and support for Fast Hands.
