📋 About This Mod
Enter the True World. Marvel at the jungle's lush greenery, the desert's shimmering sands,
the birds' jewel-toned plumage, the people's gentle demeanor. Beware,
though, the dark side of this beauty: the gods of this place are very
much alive, and their troubles are the people's troubles.
Desert Dwarf Subrace
A group of Duergar shaped and strengthened by the many trials of the desert of House Tezca. Long ago, Underdark passages between Faerun and Maztica collapsed, trapping a large group of Deugar. With no choice but to turn West, they made way to Maztica. While searching for iron, of which there is none in Maztica, they stumble upon the Sunstone, a lake of pure silver. Eager for metal the Dwarves touch the lake. Teleporting them to a random location in the desert. The remaining Dwarves begin inhaling the lake's toxic fumes causing them to suffer vivid and horrible hallucinations. Of the survivors they adjusted to their new environment, specializing in stone tools and using their craftsmanship to construct entire villages into the sides of canyon walls. During the Spellplague , Maztica was subsumed by the wild magic and sent to the world of Abeir. This occurrence further transformed the Dwarves infusing them with the desert's magic.
