📋 About This Mod
Description
New Elven Shortbows. This mod try to make them distintive and not just lower tier longbows. My previous Longbows Mod focus them in accurancy, damage and range, as counterpart this mod makes shortbows focus on fire rate, mobility and inflict status effects.
General Characteristics:
-Range have been reduced to 15m. This was made in order to force a mobile playstile, if you make good use of their movement abilities their effective range will be better than their old 18m.
-Base damage has been reduced to 1D4. Still, even the lower tier shortbow have access to three multishot actions. Taking this into account, their damage per turn is highter than base game shortbows.
-Quick Fire: this is the shortbows base passive. At the cost of -5 to attacks rolls it allow one additonal shot when using one of the Elven Shortbows weapon actions. This can be toggle on and off at any moment. Also, just like the bonus the penalty only applies to Elven Shortbows weapon actions, you don't need to toggle it off to take normal shots or class actions.
-Close Quarters: All Elven Shortbows ignore the disadvantage penalty for shooting too close to the target.
-Critical Rush: Starting at uncommon tier, all Elven Shortbows gives momentum when scoring a critical hit, effect duration is also tier base. Additionally, all special shortbows has other bonuses when scoring a critical hit.
Location
The basic models can be bought at different locations:
-Common: Dammon at the Grove (Act I)
-Uncommon (+1): Brem at Zhentarim hideout and Blurg at the Miconic colony (Act I)
-Rare (+2): Quartermaster Talli at Last Light Inn and Lann Tarv at Moonrise Towers (Act II) and Fytz the Firecracker at Lowtown (Act III)
The location of the special ones are:
-Tricker's Shortbow: Goblin treasure on the Goblin Camp. The chest pile where you found the Gloves of the Growling Underdog.
-Dryad Shortbow: Looted from Nettie's bag in the enclave library. Note that pick up it will count as stealing until you rescue Halsin.
-Stalker Shortbow: Inside a cabinet in Inquisitor's Chamber, Crèche Y'llek. Same place with the Hoarfrost Boots.
-Phantom Thief: Reward from He Who Was for complete Punish the Wicked.
-Howling Hunter: Looted from a chest in the basement of the Forge of the Nine. Same one with the Unwanted Masterwork Gauntlets.
Installation
BG3 Mod Manager is recommended.
Use either the Vortex Mod Manager or the BG3 Mod Manager and install this mod.
