Danan Dyes - Polychrome Jewels

Hello darlings. I'm back with my latest dye mod, Polychrome Jewels. I'm very proud of this mod. Not only did I have fun playing with Colour, but I learned even more about dyes and making mods through the toolkit. It feels like an evolutionary step forward. Each one of these rich dyes is a three colour combo available in Bright Jewel, Dark Jewel, and soft Pearl tones, as well as paired with Black and White Leather. The core of the Polychrome mod contains 37 different dyes in 16 variations, giving you 592 dyes. Also included are 84 Specialty dyes created for myself, as well as several of my testers, giving you a grand total of 676 Dyes to play with.

💖Why are there 16 variations of the core dyes?

(Here's where we get a bit technical.) As a Virtual Photographer, I have discovered that dyes can look very different from one piece of clothing or equipment to another depending on the materials used, the channels assigned to each part of the clothing or equipment, as well as the saturation level. (There are three dye channels available to each type of material: Cloth, Leather, and Metal, as well as 8 additional miscellaneous channels which can be used to add extra colour.) This can be very frustrating when you are trying to achieve a certain look for your OCs, Companions, etc., thus I created 16 variations of each dye to better achieve the look you want. The great thing about this, is you can mix and match the dyes to your heart's content. These dyes have been tested on Hundreds of in-game and modded clothing and equipment. And of course, these dyes are not just for VP but for gameplay as well.

💖 PLEASE NOTE: Not all colours are going to show up on all clothing/equipment as they don't all use the three channels per material. Quite often, only the Primary and/or Secondary channels of each material type is used for in-game and modded clothing and equipment.

1. Manually download the zipped file and extract it in your Downloads Folder (or where ever you usually extract mods).

2. Copy the DananDyesPolychromeJewels pak and paste it into your BG3 Mods Folder found at:
