📋 About This Mod
Crowd Cull
By SwissFred
This mod removes Crowd NPCs who have no dialogue or interactions. Only vendors, guards, quest characters, and NPCs with meaningful dialogue remain. They stand apart from the crowd and are easily recognized.
A simple quality‑of‑life mod for everyone.
Features:
This feature does not alter game levels and does not rely on any vanilla game triggers.
The Party Leader gains a Passive that, when toggled ON, applies an Aura. As you walk, only NPCs with meaningful interactions—dialogue, pickpocket options, or other interactions—remain visible.
All non‑interactive crowd NPCs are hidden.
Vendors will have a green star displayed overhead so they can be easily recognized from all others.
The Passive is toggled ON by default.
When toggled OFF, all previously hidden NPCs are restored and become visible again.
Best used in Act 3, especially in the Lower City, where NPC density is at its highest.
Useful for players with agoraphobia (fear of crowded or open spaces) or OCD (intrusive thoughts or compulsive behaviors).
Crowd Cull removes non-interactive Crowd NPCs from the game, leaving only vendors, guards, quest characters, and NPCs with dialogue. Remaining NPCs stand apart for easy recognition, and vendors are marked green. A small but focused gameplay mod with 23 endorsements and 731 downloads, last updated May 2026.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Clean performance boost by removing useless NPCs (23 endorsements).
- Makes finding actual quest givers and vendors way easier with green markers.
- Simple concept, does exactly what it says—no bloat.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 23 endorsements—small user base, so less community testing.
- Might break if the game updates and changes NPC behavior.
For players tired of wandering through crowds of lifeless NPCs and want to spot quest givers and vendors at a glance. Also good for performance-minded folks on lower-end rigs. Skip if you enjoy the bustling atmosphere of crowds or want more immersive NPC interactions.
💡 Beginner Tips

- If you're on a version with EAC (like some games), make sure to disable it or use a mod loader that works with it.
- After installing, load a save and verify vendors are green and quest NPCs stand out—if not, check load order.
