📋 About This Mod
"Wow, Astarion's starter armour has such a cool and recognisable design, it really fits his character and personali– hey, Padded Armour +1!"
This mod adds camp clothing versions of all companion starter armour (including shoes!), so you can have good stats while keeping the characters' iconic looks. Also adds the Storm Sorcery starter robe, for my fellow Default Durge enjoyers.
Items such as gloves and circlets are not included, as camp clothes have no slots for handwear or headwear. While it should theoretically be possible to create, I really don't feel like learning the intricacies of mesh/texture editing and modding just for this. Maybe one day!
A backpack with all the new items be found in the tutorial potion chest, or purchased from Arron, Talli, Popper, and Volo.
As I have never modded a game like this before, I used JonHinkerton's Camp Robes mod (a really good mod that I also use) as a base for basically everything. This should be allowed according to the permissions section, but if it's somehow an issue, do let me know!
This mod adds camp clothing versions of all companions' starting armour, allowing them to wear their iconic gear as casual camp attire. With 36 endorsements and 704 downloads, it's a small but functional cosmetic addition for players who want visual variety in camp scenes.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple concept that works: your companions can finally lounge around camp in their iconic gear.
- Tiny download (704 pulls) means it's lightweight and won't bloat your load order.
- Niche but appreciated — 36 endorsements from folks who wanted this specific cosmetic touch.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated March 2025 — might not be patched for future game updates.
- Only affects camp clothes, so don't expect any gameplay or stat changes.
For players who want their companions to look like themselves even when relaxing at camp. If you're into roleplay or just like visual consistency, this is a neat little addition. Skip if you're after gameplay tweaks — this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager, just download and activate — should be a simple drop-in.
- Check your game version matches the mod's last update (March 2025) to avoid conflicts.
- Since it's camp clothes, you'll see the effect when companions are in camp — not during missions.
