📋 About This Mod
PATCH 8 COMPATIBLE!!
This mod is designed purely for role-playing purposes! It only affects the characters in your party.
In multiplayer, each player has their own party, and the mod will adapt based on each user's configuration.
You can enable or disable the mod's behavior at any time via the Mod Configuration Menu (MCM), without needing to uninstall it.
Customization is available per character. You can define how your avatar, each companion, and each mercenary available for recruitment sleeps. Whether they
keep their shoes on, sleep barefoot, or without clothes, the choice is yours!
Important note: If your character has already removed their shoes or clothing manually, the mod will respect that choice and will not automatically re-equip those items after resting.
The mod is available in English, Spanish, and Latin American Spanish.
Comfortable Sleep by Doya Solutions is a small utility mod for Skyrim that automatically removes selected clothing items (like shoes) during full rest and re-equips them afterward. Configured via MCM, it defaults to removing only shoes, with options for barefoot or underwear states. With 165 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche quality-of-life addition for immersive players.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective immersion booster—no more sleeping in boots.
- MCM integration gives you full control over what gets removed.
- Active development (last updated January 2025) and a solid 165 endorsements from the community.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects full rest—short naps or waiting won't trigger the effect.
- Requires SkyUI and MCM, so it's not for vanilla UI purists.
- Limited scope: if you want more complex sleep mechanics, this won't add them.
For immersive roleplayers who hate seeing their character sleep in full gear. Also great for screenshot enthusiasts who want more natural bed scenes. Skip if you're looking for gameplay overhauls—this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have SkyUI installed and MCM working before adding this mod.
- After installing, open MCM in-game to adjust which items are removed during rest.
- If you use a mod manager, let it handle the file placement to avoid conflicts.
