BG3SX Spells

NOTE : The Lewd Add-on mod for BG3SX now has a built-in spell. If you're using that expansion mod then this mod is longer required.

Intended for use with the BG3SX Framework 2.x and animation add-ons. This mod adds two spells to your hotbar -  'Select a Target for Sex and 'Start a Solo Scene'.

Either will initiate the default animation and bring up the drop-down list of animations only, not the MCM window. From there you can play the animations from the framework and from any loaded BG3SX animation add-on mod. This reduces the number of clicks it takes to get to the animations and removes the need to interact with the MCM window for normal play.

Note - if you close ('x') out of the drop-down window rather than ending the scene, you can bring it back up by pressing the PC keyboard numpad "+" button. The other hotkeys available while the drop down menu is hidden are :

  Of course when the drop down menu is visible you can just use the control icons. If you're using any other platform or for some reason can't bring the drop-down menu back, you can always go into MCM to bring it back up.

  FAQ

  Can we go back to having spells for every animation?

  Setting aside the modding toil of having to create individual spells slots, this isn't feasible from a UX perspective because there are a lot more animations available today than there were when BG3SX first came out. There would be dozens of animation icons that all look the same, you'd have to mouse hover over each one to see what it is, you'd have to scroll or expand the hotbar (or both) to see them all, and BG3 often shuffles the order of the spells so you have to play Where's Waldo each time to find the animation you're looking for.

  So I don't need MCM anymore?

  MCM is a hard requirement for BG3SX 2.x. This mod just removes the need to go into the settings menu if you only want to play animations. There is functionality within the BG3SX MCM that can only be performed there, including :

  []NPCs - can be added to your animation party, you can decide whether they should be stripped or clothed, assign them different genitalia, have them have sex with other NPCs, or toggle visibility on them.[/]

  []Genitalia - can be changed (including custom genitalia) for anyone in your party without going into character creator.[/]

  []Whitelists - you can check which races/creatures are currently whiteliste
