What is a DND game without Slings? To me, heresy! Maybe you don't agree...but try out how the Sling feels in the hand, enjoy the subtle tension of the leather, consider the delicate craftsmanship of the stitching, tremble before the smooth menace of the stones....
Anyyyyyways. Slings:
Are a Simple Weapons that do 1d4 Bludgeoning Damage with a Range of 24 (the longest in the game). Range is increased by your Strength modifier, 2 meters for every 2 points of Strength.
Have +1 and +2 variants, and are in the inventory of various traders around the game.
Skull Crack: do normal damage and attempt to daze an enemy. Once per short rest.
Whistling Barrage. Hurl hallow stones at an area for half damage, and attempt to Frighten the enemies within. Once per short rest.
Strong Arm: add Strength modifier to damage.
Critter Culler: 1d4 extra damage vs Beasts
Blunt Trauma: 1d4 non lethal damage vs enemies not wearing Armor.
