When you need to bludgeon something into submission, nothing less will do....
It seems all things trend toward homogeneity: short races have the same speed as long races, Goblins and Humans are indistinguishable except for the graphics. The gaming world claims to value diversity, yet things creep more and more toward sameness.
Well, a Mace is not a Club nor is it a Morningstar or a Flail. It has its own life, it's own needs, and.... I seem to be getting carried away!
Anyhow, Maces:
Gain Mail Mangler: do an additional 1d6 damage against medium/chain armour
Gain Heart Stopper
Gain Rend Armor: if you hit an enemy with a melee blow, it must pass a constitution save or lose 1 AC for that turn.
Gain Stove in Head. If the target does not have Heavy Armor equipped, target their head, doing extra 1d4 damage and inflicting -4 Intelligence and Wisdom for 5 turns. Constitution save. Once per Short Rest.
