Better Humans

I never played humans in my previous BG3 runs. They held no attraction, offered no uniqueness.... But I've tried to change that, and keep in the spirit of DND rules. You might also prefer my other Humans mod: Human Subraces.

So, Humans:

1. Lose Human Versatility. Dwarves have the strong backs around here!

2. Keep Civil Militia.

3. Gain Human Vision. Human Vision allows you, once a day, to choose a path or way of life to follow. You are not constrained by the limitations and traditions of other races. Choose the Life that you desire! The options are:

Life of the Broad Shoulders: 25% carry capacity. +1 Strength until level 4, then + 2.

Life of the Cast Iron Stomach: Advantage vs Poison. +1 Constitution until level 4, then + 2.

Life of Lightning Reflexes: Advantage vs Slipping. +1 Dexterity until level 4, then +2.

Life the Lively Mind: +1 level 1 spell slot. + 1 Intelligence until level 4, then +2.

Life of the Serene Spirit: Advantage vs Fright. +1 Wisdom until level 4, then + 2.

Life of Easy Laughter: Advantage vs Charm. +1 Charisma until level 4, then +2.

Each "Life" can be cast once per long rest, similar to the Githyanki Astral Knowledge spell.

4. Finally, at Character Creation, Humans can choose a profession or career that they would like to follow. The options are:

Farmer: proficiency in Animal Handling. +1d4 damage with Flails and Sickles. Plants have Disadvantage against you.

Sailor: proficiency in Acrobatics. +1d4 Throw damage; +1d4 damage with Rapiers.

Trapper: proficiency in Perception. Gain Cast Net and Trapper's Tangle: give target Disadvantage vs Restraint.

Archivist: proficiency in History. All scrolls cost 50% less to scribe; gain Dull Lecture, read from a dreary old tome and put your audience to Sleep.

Philosopher: proficiency in Investigation. Pacifism: Advantage on Wisdom saving throws. Enemy humanoids with less than 12 Wisdom have disadvantage against you, but you have -2 on Melee attack rolls.

Clown: proficiency in Performance. Gain Tears of a Clown: once per short rest, attempt to ward off an incoming attack. Gain Pathetic Laughter, a weaker cantrip version of Hideous Laughter.
