Berry's Head - Hyacinth

New head for BT2 human/elf/drow/half-elf/tiefling.

This is the head I made during the making of BG3 head modding video tutorial on bilibili (it’s in Mandarin Chinese though).

I posted a preview on RedNote and got some really positive responses, so um, here it is :) Hope you guys like this one!

There are 5 files included:

One is vanilla version without fangs.

One is vanilla version with Astarion-like fangs.

One is the EotB patch, for using together with the main file.

One is UT/KAVT patch, for using together with the main file.

One is the glow hyacinth neck tattoo used in showcase images.

(the glow only works if you use KAVT. Follow the editing instructions from the KAVT Customization Patch.)

Some more ramblings because that's what I do…

This head…took me like several dozens of times to sculpt and modify the textures. I don’t usually mess around with the textures too much (in the past I only remove some spots or veins) because I always fear that I might f$#k it up and not knowing what could be wrong, but for this one…well, in order to understand how each channel of CLEA, HMVY map even work, I ran a huge experiment just to see how each change affects the face.

One reason is that my previous Aureolus head was also sculpted from this Half-Elf Head B, so if I didn’t change the textures…they might just look too similar. Another reason is…well, I used Dan Stevens’ face as a reference, so I’ve been paying a lot of attention to details, and trying to find exactly why human face can have this kind of shadow under this lighting, but don’t have it under another kind of lighting, so in the end in order to reach this specific effect I only kept the alar crease in the ambient occlusion (CLEA alpha channel) map but almost nowhere else. Idk, it might look a bit too clean or smooth, but I’m heavily biased as a fanatic who watched The Guest for 20 times so just sayin’...
