Beastfolk - Patch for Vulpine Starter Pack and Animal Essence

This is a simple patch allowing users of Animal's Essence - Playable BeastFolk by Desszai to use the ears and tails from Vulpine Starter Pack by Lynstence.

! ! Note on updating: Lynstence has updated their Vulpine Starter pack as of the 27th of October. I have uploaded a new file to add the new tails to Beastfolk but be aware that this causes you to lose the tail and ears on your existing character.

You can use the Magic Mirror to reacquire them, however at least in my case the mirror initially bugged out and I could not click on Confirm. If this happens to you, then you will need to randomise the appearance. If you do this and then recreate your character then you will be able to save the changes. This is a pain, but it seems to be the path through.

Besides this, updating is normal:

• []Update Vulpine Starter pack to the latest release.

  []Update my patch to the latest release.

Recommended Installation:

Import with BG3MM. Naturally you need the original mods first.

Manual Installation:

Unzip the download.

Move Beastfolk - Vulpine Patch.pak to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods.

Enable the mod either in BG3MM or ingame.

Load order:

Load after Beastfolk and Vulpine Starter Pack.

Example Load Order:

  []Beastfolk - Drow Tag (optional)

  Bugs: None caused by this patch itself. However some caveats:

  • []Animal Essence doesn't have race icons since Patch 7 due to (I believe) the depreciation of Improved UI Assets.

    []The 1. 1 update to Vulpine Starter pack adds 2 new tails. The 9 tail version does not have animations.

    []Possible Magic Mirror issues with the 1. 1 update, but it may be something else in my load order. If you cannot click Confirm in the Magic Mirror then first click the option to randomise appearance, and then recreate your character. It is a hassle, but it will work.

    []Depending on your head and hair combination you will quite possibly notice your Tav has really good hearing.

    Note: If either of the OG mod authors release their own patches, you may as well use those instead. Please endorse their mods. If either author truly wants me to take down the patch, I will comply.
