Alternate Tiefling Tails

INSTALLATION

Install with BG3 Mod Manager

1. Unzip the file and copy the .pak file into your game mods folder: ...\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods

2. Open BG3 Mod Manager and pull the mod into the load order (active mods), save the load order.

Adds several dozen unique tiefling tail options into CC for your tiefling Tav.

These custom tails are available for tieflings (all body types).

NOTE

THIS MOD NEEDS UNIQUE TAV TO WORK. You will also need Trips' Old Shader Pack.

UNIQUE TAV

This mod must be placed UNDER Unique Tav in the load order in BG3 Mod Manager.

LABOTOR'S HALF-TIEFS

"Will there be support/patch for labotor's Half-Tiefs mod?"

Unfortunately, no. We discussed this together and came to the conclusion it is way too much work for the both of us. Every single tail needs to be refitted to every body type of every race, and considering how many tail options there are, frankly, we simply do not have the time to do all of that. Sorry.

FAQ

"Help, I downloaded this mod and the tails on my Tav disappeared!"

This means the mod is working as intended. You must go into character creator/magic mirror and choose a new tail for your character. You can also choose the default tail from the Tails section.

"The tiefling still has its original tail and it overlaps with the custom tail."

Are you using any other mods that use custom tiefling bodies? If so, they need to work with Unique Tav.

MAKE SURE THE MOD IS LOADED AFTER/UNDER UNIQUE TAV (AND ITS PATCHES).

"I'm using custom body shapes and the tails' base doesn't connect to the body properly."

These tails are made for vanilla body shapes only, they will not work as intended with custom body shapes.

"Do you take tail requests?"

No, sorry. I will possibly open tail commissions in the future, though.

"Will these tails be available for the dragonborn?"

Possibly, in the future. I am currently quite burned out after working on this mod for over two months, so I would like to focus on something else and have a nice break. Thank you for understanding.
