AA and Karlach Can Fuck (AAKCF)

Spoilers for Act 3 and the end of Astarion’s questline, etc etc etc. Y’all know by now.

But: did you know that Origin Karlach doesn’t get a sex scene with Ascended Astarion? I sure didn’t! And I was sad. Even seeing AA’s face on fire didn’t make me feel better. Inevitably, I was forced to handle this like I handle all my life problems: MOD!!!!!!!!!!!

This mod adds an additional option to Origin Karlach’s unique dialogue with AA: by choosing "Just one night with you before you bite me. Please.", you can proceed to the AA sex scene. "I'm ready. Bite me. Make me yours. Fix me." is untouched and will railroad you directly to the bite scene, as in vanilla.

⭐VERSIONS⭐

There are two versions available:

The canon-compliant option. Dialogue is properly tagged to check if Karlach has gotten both engine upgrades. If she hasn’t, the new dialogue option won’t be available.

The self-explanatory option. You don’t care about story logic! You just want them to fuck!!! The new dialogue option is available regardless of Karlach’s engine status.

Currently, both versions are available in English and in German (which is bad sorry).

⭐HOW TO INSTALL⭐

Comes in a pak file. Place in your Mods folder. Export to the game with your mod manager of choice. (I recommend BG3MM.) This is no longer an Override file, so it also appears in the in-game mod manager! Load order doesn't matter, unless you use other mods that edit the same data (see the Compatibility section for more info).

VERSION 2. 0 AND OLDER: These versions will automatically be placed into the highlighted Overrides section in BG3MM. It will not appear in the in-game mod manager.

I have more experience working with dialogue files now and I don't believe a base loca file is necessary for this to work. For posterity's sake, however, here's my spiel on loca files as originally written:

There’s a weird quirk to installing dialogue mods like these. Essentially, you need to have your language’s loca file unpacked and installed for an individual edit to work. Mods that edit the entire loca file – such as Overexplained Interaction Options – will count. You could also download a vanilla loca file here and install that as a loose file instead.

But here’s the thing: I don’t have any of those things installed, and yet this mod still works for me. (Why? I don’t even know?? Maybe because it’s only adding dialogue and not changing it?) I won’t go as far as saying you don’t need a base loca file with this, so if you are having trouble getting the new dialogue to appear, try installing one of the mods listed
