A Visit with Volo - Gale Reimagined

i n t r o d u c t i o n

Hey there! If it's your first time seeing this, then welcome! If you're having deja vu and could've sworn you'd seen this mod before, I can explain.

The original story behind this mod was an idea where Volo gives your companions a different look after practicing on you and... well, you know how that ended up.

So I had begun making my way through the party, until a sad day came where my hard drive crashed. With only three companions uploaded, and the others and additional mods in the works lost, you could say I felt defeated. I cringed every time I opened BG3 and debated if I even wanted to continue modding for it.

But a new day comes, and we go again. I decided I wanted to give myself a fresh start with this mod since I lost many of the original project files, and after releasing my hair mod, thought I could use this experience to really give the companions' hairstyles a fair reimagining.

From here on out, each companion will probably get their own page as opposed to compiling them all on the same page like the original.

This version is almost exactly like the original AVWV model, with slight changes/fixes.

○ Redone face textures to smoothen skin, add more freckles without removing tattoo/underlying veins

○ Hair color made brown auburn to give reddish tint, eyes made shade of blue

○ Beard made slightly fuller

○ New hair model (will be available for Tavs in Yves Hair Gallery at later time)

○ New head model; small adjustments made to jawline and lips

I've also added a modular version if you'd like to use only parts of the mod. It would be a lot of work to put these into .pak files in every possible combination, so I've just provided the loose files to be dropped in your game's data folder. Please make sure you know how to use these type of replacers if downloading.

i n s t a l l i n g

○ Choose one version. As it is a replacer, you may only have one installed at a time. If you have downloaded any other Gale replacers, it may conflict. Please check your files before reporting an issue.

○ Install by dragging/dropping the zip or extracted .pak file in BG3 Mod Manager (recommended) or downloading with Vortex.

○ In BG3 Mod Manager, the file should show in your Overrides. To uninstall, simply right click and select 'Delete Mod.'[/s
