A Soul By The Stormshore (Mini Sidequest Mod)

Made for Patch 8 - Hotfix 36, but may work for other patches! (I started this for the July Modathon last year and finally finished it for this year. Whoops!)

Made for the BG3 July Modathon, for the Celestial and Shadows theme! (Aaaand also the Storm and Ghosts theme from last year. It's fine.,)

This mod adds a new mini sidequest to Act 3!

Fulfill the last request of a ghost, and help him move on from this world.

Anything I really say about this might spoil the story (although I am planning on uploading a full walkthrough of the quest later!)

You start the quest by finding and talking to the ghost by the Stormshore Tabernacle in Act 3. Your journal should point you where to go when you need it, but when I say "mini sidequest," I do mean it! It's not a long quest, so I don't think you'll get too lost.

The NPC at the center of this quest is fully voiced, with voice acting by me. I hope you like my little guy!! (I got pretty attached to him I'm ngl... Am holding my ghost son so gently in my arms..,,)

On completing the sidequest, you will receive the following quest rewards:

Stormlight Trainee Robes:

Comes with two features:

Waterproof Weave: Gives +1 to Armour class, gives resistance to Thunder and Lightning damage, and gives you an extra 1. 5m movement speed when starting your turn in a water surface. It also allows you to move normally in deep water, but because there's not a lot of deep water surfaces in Act 3, this is kinda just there for flavour text tbh

Safe Harbour: Unlocks the spell Safe Harbour. Give allies and neutral characters shelter from the fight around them. All characters affected by it cannot be harmed by other characters, and cannot attack others. Comes in two variants: Area of Effect and Target Select. AoE lets you cast the spell on all neutral and ally characters in an 18m radius, and Target Select lets you pick up to 10 characters to cast the spell on.

Stormlight Trident:

Comes with the following features:

Elven Weaponry: You are considered proficient with tridents while this weapon is equipped.

Lingering Current: Gives you an extra 1d6 lightning damage to your weapon attacks + an extra 1d4 on top of that when you're standing on a water surface.

Unlocks the following spells:

Wavebreaker: Essentially a storm themed versio
