A Cure for Astarion

WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO?

This mod replaces Astarion's head and body texture so he no longer has fangs, nor bite marks on his neck, nor scars on his back.

WHY?

---WARNING: ENDING SPOILERS---

Well, there are many people out there that don't feel right with Astarion's good ending (and particularly if romanced) being just “will help you find a way to walk in the sun again”.

We want to actually find a cure to vampirism altogether.

By D&D tabletop rules this is perfectly possible in quite a few different ways, and even in BG2 our vampire companion Hexxat had the possibility of recovering her humanity again, so why not Astarion?

This is for the “after the endgame” headcanons, for those who want to use photomode to take pics of a healed and happy Astarion that has found a cure for vampirism some time in the future after BG3's adventures ended.

If you want to also change his hair, eye colour or skin tone, you can use AEE-O.

We have not direcly changed any of this because there is no official canon on how Astarion's eyes looked before he was turned, so you are all free to choose your own headcanon.

ALTERNATE DOWNLOAD

There is also an alternate download file, in which Astarion retains his fangs but not his neck and back scars. For those who chose the evil path but want to roleplay that the infamous ritual healed his scars while keeping him a vampire, or who may have any other reasons to retain the fangs.

INSTALLATION AND MANAGEMENT

It is safe to install and remove at any time.

Load order is not important, but you can place it best grouped to other Visual or Cosmetic Fixes/Tweaks.

We recommend please use BG3MM to manage your mods.

It's a replacer, so it won't be compatible with mods that replace the same files.

Both files have been tested, they work. But obviously they are mutually exclusive.
