Located in the tutorial chest will be 4 weapons that roughly scale to the progression of the game. The change is mostly cosmetic, each one counts mechanically as a longsword with a different enchantment level. They do however have a unique version of lacerate that does more damage, and the latter variants come with a spell from the bonesaw as well. To install without a mod manager go to run > appdata > local > Larian Studios > Baldurs Gate 3 > Mods, and put it in there. Click mod manager on the main menu, go to installed at the top, make sure chainsword is checked.
