r457 Mod Loader

A utility mod to enable loading of other mods. No injections, UE standard means only.

To install the launcher unpack the zip file and put r457ModLoader.pak/ucas/utoc (three files) into your "\Alabama\Content\Paks\~mods" folder. If "~mods" doesn't exist - create it.

Find your Engine.ini, it should be at one of these locations:

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Alabama\Saved\Config\Windows\ (Steam)

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Alabama\Saved\Config\WinGDK\ (Microsoft Store)

is your actual windows user name.

Open Engine.ini with notepad. Open r457ModLoader. Engine.ini.txt and copy all the lines from there to the end of your Engine.ini. Save. Close. Launch the game. If everything was done correctly, you will see "r457 Mod Loader" at the top right corner of the screen during shader compilation.

To install a mod: follow the instructions provided by the author. You will need to copy pak/ucas/utoc files to "~mods" and edit Engine.ini to add something like this:

SoftPaths=/Game/Mods/MyFirstMod/MyFirstMod_Actor. MyFirstMod_Actor_C

SoftPaths=/Game/Mods/MySecondMod/MySecondMod_Actor. MySecondMod_Actor_C

Note that you don't need to duplicate section name each time you're adding a new mod - just add a new SoftPaths entry to the existing section.

To make your own mod for the loader: just create an actor and provide its path to the loader through SoftPaths.
