Very durable all around armor plating with moderate maneuverability and eight heavy turret - cannons - positions makes this ship a new class line of destroyers, ships that support much bigger turrets with focus on protection. In Exiles tech tree clasification of ships destroyer class is a ship which focuses on using mainly many heavy guns(cannons, railguns and such)without compromising defences and New Follower is Exiles first iteration of destroyers. Exiles perfected forging trinium so now they try to use only best material possible for combat vessels and Follower is no expection. Armor plating all around ship expanding from main bulk of ship is reinforced by many integrity fields generators. On top ship has eight turret platforms for heavy cannons along one further back for supporting laser turrets or additional cannons. All platforms are connected with additional external hallways and service tunnels for loading ammunition and such. Naturally ship this size - 2 km long - can be equiped with many normal turrets all around ship. Follower has cargo holds at bottom in middle part, whole bottom is double protected for most defence tactic when for example running away. Double observation and communication bridges on both sides are Exiles feature every ship has from start yet every newer military ship has actual command bridge in middle deep inside ship. New Follower use Free People engine design - it was proven to be very good design, Exiles engineers are collecting best ideas and outs them together.
