Cardiel Heavy Assault Cruiser (10 - slot)

The Cardiel Heavy Assault Cruiser has been optimized as an endgame heavy hitting fleet ship. Very flexible in its application, the Cardiel has excellent turret coverage, decent torpedo output and storage, and a good fighter bay for fighter support. While the Cardiel has no real fighter production, it can support a full wing of large fighters. The Cardiel's material composition has been optimized to ensure maximum shielding and armor, while utilizing lighter trinium materials where necessary in order to keep the ship reasonably agile. The cardiel has a very thick Ogonite armor layering covering the majority of the ship and a very powerful Avorion shield generator and power generation core. While there are more agile ships out there the role of the Cardiel is to keep formation in fleets with other ships of its class and rain heavy long range ordinance on its foes. That being said, the Cardiel doesn't fly like a brick, it can keep up with many ships of its class. The Cardiel has a low block count making it able to be used heavily in fleet compositions.
