Named for the mythical Norse figures that chose who would live or die in battle, and which carried the fallen to Valhalla, the Valkyrie-class is first and foremost a field repair and refit vessel designed to patch up the Fleet after engagements. The Valkyrie is equipped with minimal defensive weaponry, but sports four ventral-mount repair lasers and internal hangar space for up to 27 large fighters, primarily intended for repair fighters.
