character only head textures - customisable

New .juice file and corresponding unedited texture files for our playable Sarentu character’s HEAD ONLY. It will not affect any nude or body

retextures, NPCs, paints or overrides. Works with all head shapes.

I have split the download into two folders:

• []The .juice file with the edited code. If you have downloaded retextures from another mod requiring this, the .juice download is all you will need. You will only need to download this ONCE.

  []The vanilla (unedited) player only textures. This is a resource for those wanting to make their own mods that will only affect the playable Sarentu’s head, with this mod as a requirement. Edit these files but keep the name and locations the same. See "For Modders" below for more information.

  Installation:

  1. You need to download the snowdrop mod loader first.

  2. Download and unzip required mod. In Juice you will see a folder named “gameplay”. In Player Only Textures you will see a folder named “baked”

  3. Place these folders directly into your blue folder. If you already have a these folders, use the file paths below.

  global_character_settings.juice : AFOP\blue\gameplay\class

  skin_ppc_m/f_n.dds : AFOP\blue\baked\characterart\player\head\shared\basenormals

  Everything else: AFOP\blue\baked\characterart\npc\rnf\default\head\female\rnf_head_01_f\textures

  Either rename the .juice file to temporarily remove it from game or delete all files to permanently uninstall them.

  Compatibility:

  Not compatible with head retextures such as my head retextures, murchCG’s Upscaled textures for female playercharacter or elysaaan’s battle scarred face. If this is an issue, let me know and I might be able to combine them!

  For Modders:

  If you use this mod to make a mod of your own, please only upload the texture files and link this in the “Required mods on the Nexus” section. You can add the note “Only .juice file” to make things clearer, if needed.

  In the player textures folder, there are three files for male (m), and three for female (f):

  • []rnf_head_p1_m/f_d.dds = Thebase skin colours we see. No stripes or bioluminescence as these are separate files.

    []rnf_head_p1_m/f_m.dds =these show the how the light reacts aka the material. For face your options are shiny (magenta), a slight sheen (cyan) or matte (alpha/transparent)

  • Basenormals (skin_ppc_m/f_n.dds)= the small 3D textures (like fine wrinkles or scars)
