📋 About This Mod
Description
This is a C++ mod for UE4SS that lets you save anywhere you want by pressing F5 on your keyboard. I created this because Atomic Heart tends to crash quite often and I would constantly lose chunks of progress thanks to it. With this mod you finally don't have to frantically hunt down any more save stations in anticipation of yet another "UE4 Fatal Error".
The F5 save shows a "Game saved" notification in the HUD and plays the exact same SFX just like the manual save station would. It also saves your coordinates so you get put back precisely wherever you triggered it, when you load your save.
Be careful! The F5 saves do not respect save slot boundaries, they will overwrite your main game save slots at some point if you use them too much in the DLCs. The same applies for each DLC. If you want a safe version, please download Save Anywhere Alt. This makes it so that you only overwrite your most recent manual save per game mode, without ever overwriting anything else or going beyond save slot boundaries. Use this more as a quick-save tool and still make a manual save every now and then.
Installation
1. Install my UE4SS for Atomic Heart mod
2. Open the archive
3. Copy both the SaveAnywhere folder and the mods.txt file
4. Paste them into the Mods folder in your game/UE4SS directory ...\steamapps\common\Atomic Heart\AtomicHeart\Binaries\Win64\Mods
5. Replace if prompted
6. Alternatively you can open your existing mods.txt file and add: SaveAnywhere : 1
The installation for the muted version of this mod is exactly the same. Just make sure that it says SaveAnywhereMuted : 1 in the mods.txt file. And in case you install both versions, only set ONE of them to 1 and the other to 0! Do NOT set both to 1!
