Usage and configuration

After installing the mod, when you run the game, options.example.lua will be copied to options.lua.

You can also copy options.example.lua to options.lua manually.

After editing options.lua, you need to restart the game for the changes to take effect.

Changing the RTG Power Output

By default, the mod is configured so that the QT-RTG produces 2 U/s.

In the options.lua file of the mod, you will find sections for each type of RTG:

NetPowerOutput = 2. 0

NetPowerOutput = 4. 0

▶️ QT_RTG. NetPowerOutput controls the power production rate per second for the QT-RTG (game default value: 1 U/s).

▶️ RTG. NetPowerOutput controls the power production rate per second for the RTG (game default value: 4 U/s).

To change the power output, simply modify the number assigned to NetPowerOutput.

Example

To make the QT-RTG produce 5 U/s and the RTG produce 8 U/s:

NetPowerOutput = 5. 0

NetPowerOutput = 8. 0

After saving the file, launch the game — your RTGs will now use the new power output values.

The QT-RTG/RTG tooltip in the UI does not update and still shows the default power values. Use a Splitter to view the real output power.

Alternative and credits

This mod is inspired by Better QT-RTG, which seems outdated.
