Kolglen Park - Aberdare, Trecynon, Wales, UK

Cool Studios presents Kolglen Park - Aberdare, another track addition to the Kolglen Park series for Assetto Corsa - PC version only.

The inspiration for this project originated from an actual motorcycle road racing track located inside Aberdare Park, Trecynon, Wales, United Kingdom. The track is quite narrow and holds just one motorcycle event throughout the year.

A number of modifications to the track layout were required to adapt this race track for car racing in Assetto Corsa. Cool Studios has kept the actual Aberdare track layout, which incidentally runs an Anti-Clock wise configuration which is quite rare in the UK. The ground undulation has been adjusted slightly from a relatively flat piece of ground to include, in parts, rolling sections of the track.

The Kolglen Park - Aberdare track length is around 1. 5km, just under 1 mile, however, the track is challenging. The defence of the track is the grass banks around the circuit which is the only run off for most corners - it is very difficult to return to the track after a run off and will cost any driver time by just getting back onto the track.

As a response to a query I received recently, I tested the Track Day and Weekend modes within the Content Manager with Kolglen Park - Aberdare and they are both working - using my computer setup! Previously I have not used Content Manager, consequently no testing of these options were completed - apologies to all who have downloaded my tracks in the past.

Placement on the track site of certain objects ie shops and play areas, differ from their actual locations and indeed of their existance in Aberdare Park - in this regard I used my artistic licence of which I make no apologies!
