WHY I MADE THIS
This is my first mod for Assassin's Creed Shadows. I was not sure a defog map even existed. I got tired of walking everywhere just to clear the haze. That was boring. So I learned how the game files work until I could make the map stay clear.
WHAT THIS MOD IS
Shadows hides the world map behind a pale fog that only thins as you walk. This patch removes that haze so the full map is readable from the start.
It is built on the latest DataPC_boot_patch_02.forge, so the rest of the game file stays intact.
INSTALL

[]Close Assassin's Creed Shadows.[/]
[]Backup DataPC_boot_patch_02.forge in the game folder (where ACShadows.exe is). Rename the copy to DataPC_boot_patch_02.forge.bak.[/]
[]Copy this mod's DataPC_boot_patch_02.forge into that same game folder and replace the file. Leave the .bak alone.[/]
[]Start the game and open the world map. The haze should be gone.[/]
The file should stay about 10 GB. If it is much smaller, you have the wrong file.
AFTER A NEW GAME UPDATE
A title update will overwrite this file. Wait for a new upload here. Do not mix an old defog file with a new game patch. That can crash.
IF THE GAME WILL NOT START
Copy DataPC_boot_patch_02.forge.bak back, and rename it to DataPC_boot_patch_02.forge.
