📋 About This Mod
Realistic Sugar Value
This mod adjusts the value of sugar to reflect it's value more accurately to it's real-world value during the Golden Age of Piracy based on the in-game model, and what would be accurate for that model to represent
Changes Made
- []Price of Sugar has been increased to 60 Reales[/]
Why This Matters
The in-game model shows that each unit is represented by a bag labeled with the number 240. Based on the Jackdaw's max capacity of 2000 units, it makes the most sense for these bags to represent 240oz (ounces), which is roughly 15lbs (pounds). That would put the Jackdaw's total capacity for sugar at 30,000lbs (pounds) or 15 Tons, which is realistically feasible for a Brig. During the early 1700s, Sugar was typically valued at 2. 5-5 Reales per pound, so I chose 4 Reales per pound for balance. This means that the in-game model should represent a value of 60 Reales per unit.
