"Pirates who used to hunt you when you had a bounty have now stopped. Instead, they choose to protect Edward. They will follow you everywhere as long as you maintain a bounty, and if you stop your ship, they will stop too. However, if there are enemy ships nearby, they will attack immediately. If they stop following you after winning a naval battle, simply step away from the helm and take control of the ship again, and they will resume following you. (Remember: you must have a bounty. If you don't, sink enemy ships until your bounty status appears as a red sword, then they will spawn and protect you.)"
