7 difficulty options that change various amounts of things for enemy ships. A complete naval combat overhaul.

What This Mod Does

Every enemy ship in the game has been completely reworked. Health, weapon damage, reload speed, firing range, number of volleys, projectile count, ram damage, explosion radius, and sailing speed all scale per difficulty. This is not just an HP change. Ships fight harder, faster, and smarter at higher levels.

Difficulties

Baby Mode

For people who just want to sail around and watch ships explode. Everything dies in one hit. Sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

Easy

Ships go down fast but not instantly. You still get to aim and fire a few broadsides before they sink. Good for casual sailing.

Medium

A step up from stock. Fights last a bit longer and enemies hit slightly harder. Good balance between fun and challenge.

Hard

Every ship is a real fight. Enemies fire faster, hit harder, and have longer range. Man o' Wars take serious firepower to bring down.

Very Hard

You better have a fully upgraded Jackdaw. Ships fire triple volleys, deal more a lot more damage, and have extended range. Legendary ships are absolute monsters. Good luck.

Nightmare

If you're using this you are genuinely insane. Every ship fires near instantly with a terrifying damage, more volleys, and triple the projectiles. Legendary ships have terrifying amounts of HP and 55% damage reduction.

Hellscape

You will not survive. 25x damage. Near instant reload. Quadruple projectiles. Ships faster than your Jackdaw. Legendary ships have unfathomable amount HP with 70% damage reduction and fire more volleys of 6x projectiles. This is not a difficulty. This is punishment.

Installation

1. Navigate to your game folder

2. Back up your original DataPC.forge

3. Copy the modded DataPC.forge from your chosen difficulty into the game folder and replace

4. Launch the game

Uninstall

Verify game files through Ubisoft Connect or Steam to restore the original.
