  What This Mod Does

  This mod creates backup copies of your ASKA save files automatically while you play. If something goes wrong (game crash, accidental deletion, or a corrupted save), you can restore an earlier backup and recover your progress instantly.

  Two Backup Modes:

  • []Real Time Mode: Creates backups every X minutes of real time (Default: every 30 minutes, configurable).[/]

    []In-Game Time Mode: Creates backups at specific in-game hours (Default: 6 AM and 6 PM, configurable).[/]

  Organized Storage: Optional via config -- Keeps backups in separate "_Backups" folders so they don't clutter your main save list.

  Automatic Cleanup: Keeps only your most recent backups to save disk space (Default: 10 backups per save, configurable).

  Easy to Restore: Backup folders are timestamped and include the in-game day, making it easy to find the exact state you want to revert to.

  How to Configure

  After running the game once, open the config file located at:

  ASKA/BepInEx/config/GrymmsSequentialSaves.cfg

  Main Settings Explained:

  SaveMode: Choose between RealTime or InGameTime.

  IntervalMinutes: How many real-world minutes between backups (RealTime mode only).

  InGameHours: Which in-game hours to trigger a backup (e.g., 6,18 or 0600,1800 for 6 AM and 6 PM. You can have as many in-game save times as you like e.g., 6,12,18,23 for 6 AM, 12 noon, 6 PM, 11 PM).

  MaxBackups: How many backups to keep per save (Set to 0 to keep all backups forever).

  UsePerSaveBackupsFolder: Set to true to organize backups in separate folders (Recommended).

  How to Restore a Backup

  If backups are in the main folder:

  Backups will appear directly in your "Load Game" menu.

  Simply select the timestamped backup you wish to load.

  If using separate folders (Recommended):

  Navigate to: AppData/LocalLow/Sand Sailor Studio/Aska/data/

  Find your backup folder (e.g., savegame_12345_Backups).
