📋 About This Mod
Hides many parts of the in-game HUD. For I M M E R S I O N.
Choose from a collection of modified UI.pak files with varying degrees of Immersion, by removing parts of the in-game HUD.
Each version can be downloaded separately, or all in one pack - for convenience - in the optional files.
WARNING:
The UI elements removed in this mod - in ALL versions of it - will make the game more difficult if you are a new player. MUCH MORE DIFFICULT.Although it's no Nightmare mode, there are some similiarities:
-
[]No Healthbar
[
]No Flashlight Battery[]No Weapon/Ammo display
Combining these changes with Nightmare Mode can offer a daunting challenge for even the most fearless Sevastopolian:
----ESSENTIAL-HUD----
Removes everything unrelated to the story, or not considered helpful for progression. This option removes HUD elements that stay on screen the entire time you're playing, and provides a (mostly) cinematic, immersive experience without making the game too difficult.
Recommended for new or casual players who want a little challenge. Removes the following elements:
-
[]Healthbar and Flashlight battery meter
[]Name and ammo count of your equipped weapon
[]The useless white dot that appears when you're pointing at NPCs and objects in interaction range
- []Tape cassette animations that show on the upper right when saving and loading the game, and the spinning wheel animations which also appear on loading screens
- []"Hold Enter to skip" popup during cutscenes. You can still skip the cutscene, but the message and bar don't show.
----CLEAN-AND-CLEAR----
----SHOKWAVE-APPROVED----Removes everything that reminds you that you are playing a game. Shokwave's choice. Recommended for experienced players.
Removes all of the above, plus:
- []Tutorial messages that appear when encountering some things for the first time, and other things all the time. This includes the breathing tutorial when hiding in lockers `(it's the same as your AIM button)`
- []"Objective Updated" messages. Current objective can still be seen on the map.
- []"<ITEM> Collected/Upgraded" messages, when picking up new weapons and blueprints. [ I know a flamethrower when I see one! ]
- []The "button" part of interaction prompts. You can see what you're interacting with, but not which button to press for it. [ It's always E/A/X anyway ]
-
[]Button prompts on terminals, gadgets, and interactive objects, like security braces and door handles.
[
]Button prompts that tell you how to activate, throw and place items like flares and IEDs when equipped.
