ALIAS Isolation - Making ALIEN GREAT again ..

You're becoming hysterical.

This long-overdue release includes the fixes and tweaks from my fork at long last, just in time for Alien: Isolation's 10-year anniversary and sequel announcement1.

All further development on Alias will happen in this repository now instead of in my fork.

Anti-aliasing must be set to SMAA T1x, Motion Blur must be enabled, and Chromatic Aberration must be disabled in the game video settings for the mod to function correctly.

If your CPU (roughly pre-dates 2011) does not support the AVX vector extensions (the mod will not load or work, and will probably crash) - you should use the files from the

AliasIsolation-v1. 2. 0-SSE3-Legacy. 7zarchive instead of the main archive.

To summarise the changes from the last official release in 2016:

• []Removed

  .exeinjectors in favour of a newer

  .asiinjection method - this is a much more reliable injection method. The mod is now automatically injected into the game at launch using a file called

  d3d11.dll, see README for the install instructions.[/]

  []Following on from the above change, Valve Proton is now supported for Linux and Steam Deck players.[/]

  []Some work on optimising the CPU-bound part of the TAA code, which should provide some performance benefit.[/]

  []A CPU supporting AVX is now required for the mod - this could be lowered to SSE if this proves to be an issue for players.[/]

  []New in-game UI to configure the mod - press DELETE while in-game to toggle the menu. You can tweak Chromatic Aberration and Sharpening values to your liking (you can even turn them off if you want), and you can save your custom settings.2[/]

  []Removed the code that forcefully disabled the OculusVR SDK in the game when this mod is loaded.[/]

  []Removed Cinematic Tools - the version included in this mod was ancient and had runtime issues. You're better off using the official version3.[/]

  []Removed the internal profiler in the mod in favour of Tracy - more for my own use than for players, this is stripped out in public releases for performance reasons.[/]

  []Added more rigorous error handling.[/]

  []Updated every dependency to the latest available versions and removed unneeded dependencies.[/]

  []Lots and lots of code cleanup, unused code has been removed, and safer code added where the compiler highlighted a potential issue.[/]

Remastering ALIEN ISOLATION grapics and perfecting the AA' finally after 12 years of bad AA' ...

Installation instructions

Lay out any steps users must follow to install your mod

Download the mod , extract with rar or zip , run the exe file -  aliasIsolationInjectorGui.exe  as administrator ,

Manually search for alien isolation exe file, leave the sharpness settings as they are and you can change the chromatic abberation slider

very imPortant to change 3 settings ingame after launch - YOU launch the game trough the mod menu only
