Jumpscare Remover for v.1.2.8

Replace all in-game jump scare scenes with Cai Xukun playing basketball, including those in the DLC. Compatible with the latest game version (1. 2. 8).

Recently got into this game and noticed existing jump scare mods only support older versions. Took matters into my own hands using RMDTOC Toolkit to replace in-game jump scares with Chinese meme celebrity videos. Important notes:

• []Some lingering creepy faces in cutscenes remain untouched as they're categorized as major narrative sequences

  []Included texture pack contains jump scare mute effects (audio mod credits to original NexusMods author). Replacement involves both visual and audio components - I only altered the visual layer

  []All intensity settings (Normal/Low Horror) will trigger the mod since I purged every jump scare frame

  []Keep horror audio at Normal intensity, as the borrowed mute mod may only function under default settings

  []DLC jump scares are visually replaced but retain original audio

  []Currently tested on base game (stable) and partial DLC content (needs full verification)

  Installation:

  • []Mandatory: Install mod loader first

    []Place "data_pc" folder in game root directory (\Alan Wake 2\）

    []Successful install confirmation:

    []Mod console window will appear before game launch

    Uninstallation:

    Delete all added files/folders (preserves original game integrity)
