This is a livery set for the F/A-18E and F/A-18F in a three-tone gray low visibility scheme. This was the original early "Tactical Paint Scheme" used by F/A-18s in the 1980s before being replaced by a simplified two-tone variant in the late 80s-early 90s.

It comes in FS36375 "Light Compass Ghost Gray" with the underside in FS36495 and anti-glare nose paint in FS35237. The tip of the nose is also painted in FS33613 "Radome Tan". The application is also a little more complex than the current USN two-tone livery, with the 36375 sort of curving around the bottom as well as under the wing's leading edge extensions.

The Mage squadron livery was inspired by VMFA-531 "Grey Ghosts" circa 1980s, while the Strider livery was based off of a CO's bird from VFA-97 "Warhawks". Use of the Helvetica font instead of the typical "MIL STD 2161A" block font throughout was also intentional and seen in multiple reference photos.

TBH this was a bit of an exercise to get used to some of the foibles of this aircraft's texture mapping.

    As with my previous skins, textures use BC7 compression with mipmaps disabled to improve in-game quality. Let me know what you think and if you encounter any bugs.

    INSTALLATION:

    Place the files you want to use in the AC7 game directory as follows:

    ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks\~mods\

    If no ~mods folder is present then you can create one there.
