CFA-44 -Adversary-

Two-tone livery for the CFA-44 inspired by 1980s-1990s US Navy adversary squadrons. Comes in blank and Adversary marking variants for skin slots 1-3 and 7-8.

This is a two-tone paint scheme for the CFA-44 greatly inspired by US Navy adversary F-16Ns as used in the 1980s and 1990s.

The F-16N was the Navy's designation for F-16Cs they had acquired in the late 80s for use as adversary aircraft. The jets were disseminated to VF-43, 45, 126, and the legendary Navy Fighter Weapons School and painted in camouflage schemes somewhat resembling Eastern bloc aircraft. However, the aircraft were put under so much stress from high-G ACM that their frames started developing cracks only six years in, and they were pulled from service.

One of the paint schemes used for the F-16N was "powder puff", a two-tone livery in FS35450 over FS35622 used by the NFWS. This is what this skin attempts to replicate - I also tried to mimic that splotchy, worn, deteriorating look that adversary aircraft tended to receive as a result of the water-based paint used as well as the accelerated wear/tear they tend to go through. As a result, the blue areas are rough-looking with lots of splats and splotches.

I also came up with matching fictional markings (based off of VF-126 "Bandits") depicting "VF-105", an Osean adversary squadron.

  As with my previous skins, textures use BC7 compression with mipmaps disabled to improve in-game quality. Let me know what you think and if you encounter any bugs.

  INSTALLATION:

  Place the files you want to use in the AC7 game directory as follows:

  ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks\~mods\

  If no ~mods folder is present then you can create one there.
