XFA-27 -Ceremonial Rex-

This is a commemorative livery made for Jan "Rex" Cope, the legendary savior. With Jan's "Wings of Theve" emblem turned into literal wing decals, this paintjob is a show of absolute Central Usean patriotism. This livery is fanon. For legitimate information about Rex, I'd suggest starting from the wiki page about him.

What are Material Instances, and how do I install a skin mod that uses Material Instances?

Most of my liveries use Material Instances, a more efficient way of packing skins without uploading the texture files dozens of times and wasting all of your hard drive space. Instead, I pack the textures once, and Material Instance files sit on top of the skin slots, telling the game to "load this specific livery in this location instead of the vanilla one!"

And here is how you can use them.

- Create a folder called "~mods" inside "\ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks" - This is where the game stores its data, the tilde gives it priority above vanilla files.

- Extract the Base Texture file into the "~mods" folder, and pick the skin slots you want to override with this mod. You can increase the mod's load priority by adding more tildes into their names.

I recommend organizing your mod folder by making subfolders!

Decal locations and proportions, such as the camo, marking texts and et cetera are based on the liveries featured in njmksr's XFA-27 Retro Squadron Pack, most notably, the Bounty Hunters livery. That's right, I was NEVER original about anything ever!

For the second livery revision update, I referenced my colors and MREC off of the F-14A VF-2 Bounty Hunters livery, made by the tomcat queen herself, tangosashimi.
