So, the lore behind the skin is as follows:

Back before the 2000s, Iles Michael procured numerous old airframes of legacy series aircraft, such as the F-4.

These F-4 squadrons were transitioned to newer versions of the F-4 Phantom as they were modernized.

Currently the Iles Michael operates F-4 "Super Phantoms", which they received in the 2000s. These F-4s

are capable of supercruise, with Avionics up-to spec with F-18E/F Hornets and full glass cockpits.

As part of the Iles Michael modernization program, these units are to be relegated to a training role for incoming

Gripen E and F-16C Block 52 Falcon pilots. Which brings me to the lore behind the squadron itself.

The squadron was initially a F-16 squadron after the introduction of F-16As, F-14As, Su-27s and MiG-29s, the staff of the

Iles Michael air force were prompted by the clear generational advantage of these aircraft. So the staff was directed by the

Chief of staff of air force to procure 3. 5-4th generation aircraft to train the majority of the forces to fight against a superior enemy.

This continued as the years unfurled, bringing technological advancements, as they procured multiple F-Teen-series and Yuktobanian

aircraft to train the majority of the forces who flew increasingly advanced Phantoms how to fight against a superior aircraft, turning

the once fledgling air force into one of the most formidable aerial combat forces in the Selatapuran alliance.

The current squadron aircraft came after Erusia was forced to sell off military assets in the aftermath of the Continental war and the

drawdown of their forces. Some of the assets sold were a few X-02B Wyvern prototypes, 1 of which made their way into the hands of Agila squadron to train fledgling pilots on how to combat the latest generation of aircraft while flying at a technological disadvantage.
